The SBC is a collection of like-minded churches working in cooperation with one another to impact the whole world with the Good News of Jesus Christ.

We believe we can do more together as N.C. Baptists embrace a unifying vision to take the gospel of Jesus Christ to all the nations. Over 3,000 local, autonomous churches voluntarily work together to support missions and ministries near and far.

Unshaken Hope Ministries is near and dear to the Carey Baptist Church family. Personal tragedies led the ministry founder, Sheri Ellington, to fulfill her spiritual calling for vocational ministry. Unshaken Hope Ministries exists to equip, encourage, and inspire Christians to stand firm in their faith. Envision a world full of people of all ages and from all nations who have unshaken hope in Jesus Christ and are empowered by His Spirit to live for the glory of God. Since the ministry's formation, Carey Baptist has assisted to facilitate each series of bible studies. Anyone and everyone is welcome to join in and participate. Carey Baptist has been a long time supporter and donor to our local soup kitchen and food pantry - A.C.T.S. of Henderson (Area Christians Together in Service). Currently A.C.T.S. provides over 250 meals daily to our community and provide children food for the weekend through their Backpack Buddies program. Carey Baptist collects donations and volunteer on a regular basis.

For many years, Carey Baptist has partnered with Rebuilding Hope of Henderson. Rebuilding Hope is a volunteer ministry that visualizes the Good News of Jesus by freely helping homeowners living in their homes repair roofs and install ramps. Carey has provided meals to the S.O.S teams (Servants on Site), participate in local builds, and assist with yearly fundraising efforts.
